How much do YOU trust God?

So yesterday I rode Prince bare back. Now to full understand how amazing that is you have to know why.

Before I bought Prince the people who owned him would get on Prince bareback when they were totally drunk and try and ride Prince. Try being the key word, Prince would buck them off and keep doing that as long as they tried riding him bareback. One time this happened the guy broke his arm and leg because of the fall. So about two years ago I started sitting above Prince on the fence or the gate, not having ANY intention of getting on him but Prince would start kicking, pinning his ears etc.

So ever since then I have been playing lots of friendly game and showing Prince that he can trust me. Now I have ridden Prince bareback but when I was up there I didn't really ask him to do a lot because I wanted him to see that I wasn't going to get up there and start telling him what to do. So yesterday Prince let me get on him, he didn't pin his ears or anything and we rode around and did almost every thing that we would do if I had a saddle on him. IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!

So the reason I wrote all that was because when I woke up this morning I was thinking about it and this is what came to me.

Prince trusts me to ride him with a saddle and when we are playing on the ground, he can trust me in all those areas but not totally when it comes to me riding him bareback.

So my question to myself and all you who will read this is, how much am I/you trusting God??? are there any areas that I haven't given over to God totally and completely?

Matthew 6:25-34 says:

"“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? ²⁶ Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Our Predestined Appointment with Charles Stanley

REVELATION 20:11-15

At the moment we were born, a countdown began on our lives. Every tick of the clock brings us one step closer to our inescapable appointment with God. Each of us will stand before Him as we are about to enter our eternal destination.

Tragically, there will be shocking disappointment for some. Jesus Himself warned, "Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name . . . ?' And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness" (Matt. 7:22-23).

The only way to eternal life is through faith in Jesus. Truly, our sin has separated us from the Father. But God's Son provided the solution to this universal problem: Christ lived a perfect life and then died a sinner's death on the cross to pay the penalty each of us owed (Rom. 6:23). After three days, He rose from the grave, defeating death and evil. By accepting His sacrifice on our behalf, we no longer have to live apart from God.

To receive this amazing gift, we must simply believe in Jesus and what He did. As a result, we become new creations (2 Cor. 5:17), are adopted as God's children (Eph. 1:5), and enter into a never-ending personal relationship with our Father.

Do you have confidence about where you will spend eternity? You may assume you have time to figure out this important issue, but let me give you some wise advice: Don't wait another minute to settle the matter, because "later" may never come. Repent of your sin today, and follow Jesus.

Everyone's life makes a statement...

Communicating Through Our Life

JOHN 13:34-35

Did you realize that everyone's life makes a statement? Perhaps you've never looked at your routine as anything more than merely traveling back and forth to work and accomplishing daily tasks. If so, you might wonder what message this could possibly broadcast to the people around you.

The truth is that every one of us communicates to others through our character, actions, and words. The believer's life should be an expression of glory to God while conveying to onlookers the vital importance of divine truth. Wherever we are, Jesus' light should shine brightly through us so that He is evident in a dark world. And remember, the strength of our life message is directly related to the depth of our relationship with God.

Of course, this does not mean that our lives have to be perfect. But our responses and actions should demonstrate that our heavenly Father is dependable, faithful, forgiving, and present. We are His ambassadors, representing the Savior to the people we encounter each day. Our lives are opportunities for others to see the Lord in action, as we serve others--or as we reveal peacefulness and trust, even during difficult times.

Coworkers, family, neighbors, and friends are all witnesses to our daily conduct and conversation. Every encounter we have is an opportunity to reflect Jesus into somebody's life. Ask the Lord to strengthen your faith and your walk so that those around you can't help but be drawn towards His light.

"A Heart for God" with Charles Stanley

A Heart for God

ACTS 13:16-22

God's assessment of David's heart is one of the highest praises that anyone has ever received from the Lord. And this commendation is not reserved exclusively for the most beloved king of Israel; in fact, our Father wants every one of His children to have a heart for Him.

The Lord testified that David was a man who would do all His will (Acts 13:22). In other words, the chief characteristic of a "heart for God" is a passion to obey Him. Not every act of the king's life was as the Lord would have desired, but his pattern was to follow after God. And David also knew what to do when he sinned. His prayer was that the Lord would search out any wicked way in him, clean it up, and help him get back on track to become the kind of person his Father wanted him to be (Ps. 139:23-24).

David's relationship with the Lord was his highest priority. Not only did he delight in God's Word, but many of his intimate conversations with the Father are also recorded for us in the book of Psalms. In addition, the Scriptures reveal many examples of how David trusted the Lord in all the challenges of his life. This humble servant recognized that God alone was responsible for any greatness he achieved as king.

Becoming a man or woman with a heart for God is a valuable goal. Our aim is not perfection but a consistent, growing relationship with the Lord. In the process, we will discover that our desires and interests align with God's, and obeying Him will be our great delight.
